Description
Mega Man 2 is a platform and action game like its predecessor, Mega Man. The player controls Mega Man as he traverses eight stages to defeat the bosses, Dr. Wily's Robot Masters: Metal Man, Air Man, Bubble Man, Quick Man, Crash Man, Flash Man, Heat Man, and Wood Man. Each Robot Master features a unique weapon and a stage related to their weapon's power. For example, Air Man shoots small tornadoes and is fought in a sky-themed level, while Wood Man can use a shield of leaves and is found in a forest-themed stage. After defeating a boss, their signature weapon becomes available to the player. The Robot Masters have weaknesses to the weapons of certain other Robot Masters; therefore, choosing the order in which the levels are played is a vital component of the gameplay. After completing certain stages, Mega Man receives a special item. These items create platforms that allow Mega Man to access areas that he otherwise could not.

Mega man 2 is better than Mega man 1. Mega man 2 has really cool robot masters and weapons ;), but not bubble lead, atomic fire and time stopper. Pipis are really stupid in this game (also in Mega man dr. Wily's revenge and Mega man II GB). In Japanese and Wily wars versions there is no normal difficulty from each version. The soundtrack is Pretty good and better than Mega man 1.
Favorite songs: Title screen, Metal man, Heat man (much like megalomania from undertale) and Wily castle 1.
My favorite robot master is Metal man.
My least favorite robot master is Flash man.

Yeah Mega Man 2 Doesn't Have The Best Soundtrack Of The Mega Man Series. The Last Time I Played Mega Man 2 Was In March. I Have to Agree That It Is Overated. The Soundtrack Is At The Bottom Of My Top 10 Mega Man Soundtracks.

I have no idea why this and the other NES Mega Man OST's sans the first game use 3-minute durations instead of being cropped to fade out after the first loop.

I don't know why, but there's just something about that part of [Quick Man] before it loops that makes it the best song in the game.

To the guest who was wondering about the Wily boss theme, Mega Man 2 has no Wily boss theme, even the final boss has the regular boss theme.

Hy whr is crash man's theme. You also don't have the music for the final battle with Wily, man thats a must have, the music of the final fitht with the alien projection boss is awesome. Plz get that and upload.. 6 rating bcuz of this otherwise a full 10.

Glad this is up here, I loved Mega Man 2. Sadly, Crash Man's theme is missing, and he had my favorite stage music.
The music is perfect, but it just misses a mark due to the absence of crashmans level theme. If it were to be added, it would be great.

I have Mega Man 1-9 PC Soundtracks. Very slight difference than these NES MIDIS. I could upload them all as seperate or just add the missing Crash Man song. I'm thinking about extracting the actual song from my emulator for Crash Man.

This is currently the better of the first 03 Megaman soundtracks. I can only rate the soundtrack a 09, since Crash Man is missing from the list. Overall, however, great job on the soundtrack itself. I never could find someone that could put entire soundtracks onto a website, and you're the first person that I've seen do this. You were able to also help me with the hard to find songs. (Wily's Castle Stage 03 to 05 was ultimately hard to find. Now that I have it, my Megaman 02 soundtrack is complete.) Thanks for the help.

+3 - Crash man is a must. And to those that can't DL the files, right click the link, then select save link as... (or save target as...). The file should either be in your Documents folder (or Documents/Downloads) or Downloads folder, depending on your OS/web browser.
retards. gotta click each individual track, it opens another page, then click on download to computer. gives you the save/open option. works on 100% of these tracks.
looks like we're a bunch of peoples who love the megaman 2 soundtrack. too bad we can't download them directly to our computer.. shame.
