this is probably a hot take, but i think this is the best soundtrack of the classic megaman series. every track has its own aesthetic and vibe and it all feels so lively! it just sounds colorful to me. i don't know how to describe it. i prefer the saturn ost just because of the higher audio quality and better mixing (though i absolutely prefer tengu man's PS1 track over the saturn one.) i stand firmly on this game AND its OST being my favorite of the classic megaman series.
I always liked the Saturn soundtrack better. Better and more diverse instruments. Though I think PlayStation had the better Tengu Man stage theme.

I like the SS version of Boss Battle more than the PSX. Something about those cymbals.
I agree with you, the boss theme and Tengu Man sound better and more dynamic on SS. The PSX version is good, but it doesn't go any further.

Frost Man's Stage Theme reminds me of walking downtown in the winter when it snows, late at night with lots of skyscraper lights, drinking a good hot chocolate.
I also prefer the SS version of the soundtrack than the PSX one.

Me parece increíble la cantidad de música recopilada por los creadores y contribuidores. No creí poder encontrar las músicas de fondo de Megaman 8, pero aún así aquí está, los felicito.

Excellent OST, the second one of my favorites after MMV.
Needless to say, MM8 is an underated, yet amazing game!
I like all Mega Man games,so people need to stop saying this is bad. I don't pay attention to negative comments, but that means you disliking the producers.
Interesting to notice the PSX version is fairly cutted down against the Saturn version. Nevertheless, I believe the inedit tracks for the Saturn are beautiful pieces of art.
