Mega Man: The Wily Wars (also known as Rockman Mega World in Japan) is a 1994 action platformer remake compilation, released on the Sega Genesis as a part of the official Capcom and Sega deal. This game, like the other remakes at the time (AKA Super Mario All Stars), features 3 full-on remakes of the original Mega Man trilogy from NES (Nintendo Entertainment System), and even including a secret final campaign. The graphics and soundtrack are vastly improved to accomondate for the powers of the Genesis hardware, and the controls being a bit more stiff.
The game mostly suffered not from the game perspective, but from the release pespective instead. In North America, the game was available via the Sega Channel, a TV subsricption that would allow you to play exclusive Sega Genesis titles. In Europe and Japan, that didn't exist, so you had to pay the game physically. Europe specifically has an issue with teh framerate, due to it using PAL system framerate. Other than that, there we no official re-releases of this game when it was new. Your best bet was to play the game is through the USA reproduction cartridge, either on real hardware (through a flash cart) or on the emulator.
The compilation's latest re-releases are on the Sega Genesis Mini and the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack.
