Description

Mega Man: The Wily Wars, known as Rockman Mega World in Japan, is a compilation remake of the first 3 Mega Man/Rockman titles with enhanced visuals, sound, a battery save, and a new short campaign called "Wily Tower" with settings and Robot Masters inspired by "Journey to the West".

It released for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive in 1994 in Japan, 1995 in Europe, and was exclusive to the Sega Channel service in America the same year; though an American cartridge release was considered, it never ended up seeing the light of day until it was finally released on cartridge by Limited Run Games/Retro Bit in 2021. The game can also be found on the Genesis/Mega Drive Mini and Nintendo Switch Online's Genesis/Mega Drive collection.

I had a little argument with myself over whether to call the console Genesis or Mega Drive on the site, because well, I'm a European.

In the end, Genesis won out on the account of having fewer characters and being easier to write out :D

Creating separate categories for both would create too much redundancy. Its best to just note facts like these in the comments.
