My favorites are Hornet Man, Magma Man, and Galaxy Man. But the Stage Start and Pick A File are just MegaMan 2 songs. The boss theme is not the best one I’ve heard.

I wouldn't call Mega Man 9 hard... well the normal game anyway. If you're talking about super hero mode then I completely agree with you. Super hero mode throws to much crap at you and the enemy placement is extremely cheap. It's like castlevania, but you remove the enjoyment that comes from finally beating a level or boss that gave you a hard time. Mega Man & Bass isn't hard. It's got a few moments here and there but overall, I would put it in the middle range in terms of difficulty. As for Ninja Gaiden, It doesn't get hard until 5-3 but the game isn't really hard. Ninja Gaiden II is in the middle range besides a few moments here and there. Ninja Gaiden III is one of the hardest games I've ever played. On top of that, the game isn't very fun to play because of the cheap enemy placement, knock back, limited continues, etc. That and the game is very expensive, so I'm probably never gonna get a physical copy of it. As for Crash Bandicoot and Donkey Country 2, I can't say anything about those because I haven't played them.

I feel like Mega Man 9 is really pushing it in difficulty (even harder than the infamous Mega Man & Bass in my opinion), making it hard for me to enjoy the game, but the music is quite possibly the best music I've heard in the style of the NES. As soon as I played Jewel Man's stage, I was just sitting in my chair and jamming out before getting killed by that stupid boulder over and over. It's weird how some of the hardest, most grueling platforming games have excellent soundtracks that motivate you to keep pushing forward (e.g. Megaman & Bass, Crash Bandicoot 2, Ninja Gaiden, and even one-time cases like Bramble Blast from DKC2). Not my absolute favorite Mega Man soundtrack (that spot goes to MM8), and defnitely not my favorite game in the series (nothing can top 4, 7, or WW), but definitely home to a ton of bangers.

Mega Man 9 on Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360 is a good game, but it disappointed me quite a bit.
This title manages to transcribe the handling and graphics of the first games of the saga, including a more complete level design.

What I have a problem with is that this opus takes too much inspiration from Mega Man 2 (which is far from being the best game in the series in my opinion). There are new features, of course, but some excellent mechanics were removed (Slide, Charged Buster, Fast Weapon Switch ...). I only felt as much fun on MM7 and MM8.

The music is very good, my favorites being Splash Woman, Hornet Man, Jewel Man, Suspense, Wily Stage 1 + 3 and Wily Machine.

I still recommend this title. I still liked it.
Rating for the game: 70%
Score for the soundtrack: 75%

For Me, Mega Man 9 Is a Fantastic Game, But It's Taking A Little Too Much Inspiration From Mega Man 2. Hell Some Of The Music & The Wily Castle Are Ripped From Mega Man 2. The Bosses Are Challenging & Fun, The New Stages Are Challenging & Fun Besides That Spike Part In Jewel Man's Stage. The Robot Master Line Up Is Great, But It's Not As Good As Mega Man 2, Mega Man 3, Mega Man 7, & Mega Man 11's Line Up.

Mega Man 9's Soundtrack Is Amazing! Some of the songs and The Wily Castle Are Ripped From Mega Man 2. Even the game is based on it's gameplay. The game itself is the 4th Best Mega Man Falling. Behind Mega Man X, Mega Man X4, mega Man 2, & mega Man 3. Soundtrack:9.2/10. Game:9.2/10.
