Double Dash is pretty good. The "two characters in one kart" gimmick makes it a lot more interesting and replayable compared to most Mario Kart Games. I still don't think it's the best one, but it is one of the best ones.

I had a GBA and Wii, but oddly enough, I have never played Super Circuit or Double Dash. I wanted to play Double Dash, but the second I looked the game up on ebay and I saw the price for it (which I think was 70 something bucks for a copy) I said "okay, nevermind, I guess I'm not playing it."

I'd say that Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64, and Mario Kart Super Circuit aren't the greatest... I think that their quality can be ranked by their releases (Super being the worst of the three and Super Circuit being the best of the three.) in a way. Double Dash is the first Mario Kart game I would consider good, with the first three being sorta mid. Not bad, but kinda just okay.

You can use the pro controller with it... That's actually the only way I'm able to play the game. Also, I'd say that it has the best Rainbow Road, and I can hardly see how it lacks color... I'd still put the game under 8, DS, and Double Dash as a whole.

I've always liked SMK because the hazards were more environmental and skill-based, unlike the newer entries which are luck-heavy.
MKSC is my favorite in the series for similar reasons, as well as having the best OST in the franchise.

Generic art style (feels like it should just be called "Wii Race")
Bland graphics (the blur filter makes it look ugly)
Somewhat unsatisfying physics
More luck-dependent than other MK games (red shell spam is much more likely to happen in Wii than in games such as 7 or 8)
An inexcusable amount of glitches (though they can be interesting sometimes)
Lack of support for decent controllers (the nunchuck isn't enough to save it)
Bad game balance (Funky Bike Wii),
The worst Rainbow Road in existence (lacks and original gimmick, the road feels desaturated, and the music is forgettable)
And to top it all off, I'm just annoyed at MKWii fans who see this as the peak of the series for some stupid reason, like how there's an inexcusable amount of glitches, or literally just straight-up nostalgia and nothing else. I just feel like this relatively weak entry in the series gets way more love than it deserves. Now, I still don't think the game is "bad" (mediocre at worst), but I kind of hate it for the aforementioned reasons. If you disagree (which is highly likely considering how popular MKWii is), that's completely fine. But remember that I literally have the moral rights to have my own opinions, and I would not want them forcefully changed.

Super Mario Kart over Mario Kart Wii? 🤨 hmmm, I don't know bro, you lost me with that one. I think Super Mario Kart suffers with a classic case of first game syndrome. Any game in the series beats it in my opinion.

Personally, I prefer Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart Super Circuit, Mario Kart Double Dash, Mario Kart DS, Mario Kart 7, Mario Kart 8(DX), and the arcade games over MKWii but okay

It's really, really janky... I remember being decent at using it when I was much younger, but there is no way that I'm putting in the effort to get good at using it again. I'm not a fan of motion controls much anyways. 😅

I always played Mario Kart Wii with the Wii Wheel as a kid and even when I got back into the game, I still prefer to use the Wii Wheel because it just feels wrong to play the game without using it.

an awesome game with awesome soundtracks, but something is wrong with the koopa cape flacs, they won't play in the samnsung music player, nor spotify or foobar2000. i haven't tested it in the pc version of foobar2000 or vlc yet.

Why is the GBA Bowser's Castle music NOT specified as Bowser Castle 3? The SNES Ghost Valley 2 and Mario Circuit 3 have the number after the title! 🤔🤔🤔Much confusion.

Each plays in a different part of the castle. I haven't taken the time to listen to each in-game, but I know they're there.

I have a question for the Bowser's Castle varients. Where are the three variations of the song used. I am referring to the normal one and then Percussion and Phaser? I wouldn't know since I've never played the game and I was curious.

i've only ever played this game at other people's houses as a kid, but it isn't any less magical. love this game!! the music slaps too.

I never really owned this game since I didn't play it until my cousins gave away their old Wii to me (even though I already had one lol.) and their Wii games included, "Mario Kart Wii" and it was fun but also enraging at the same time, sad that the disk got scratched. I do play it on an emulator instead which is... MUCH easier for me and can also run at 1080p60.

If I recall, I think this is also my first Mario Kart game. I don't remember very well because I also had a Nintendo DS (the original one) which had Mario Kart DS. I'm not sure which I played first, but Mario Kart Wii is my favorite Mario Kart game of all time and there's only two entries of the series I haven't played. The ones I haven't played are Double Dash and Super Circuit.

You didn't explain or give any details why you have that opinion. So, that's why I assumed you just said that just to be different.

This is the first Mario Kart game i've ever played,and is personally my favorite of all the cart games.the music is so classic.

I never played this game that much and its music is awesome so I don't really agree with that completely. But I do agree that playing a game can enhance its music. It's easier to enjoy music when you can associate it with something.

I guess what he's saying is that it is one of those games where you have to play the game for the music to be good. As in the music is solid but you have to be playing the game for it to be listenable. (Playing the game enhances the music maybe??)

Un-huh. The game's soundtrack isn't "unlistenable if you don't know the game." The game has great music and even if you never heard of Mario Kart Wii before or it's soundtrack, a new player won't find it unlistenable as in it's nails on a chalkboard or something like that. As for the first half, the soundtrack depends on the player's taste in music/video game music. P.S. I don't know about you, but it sounds like you came with some BS hot take just for the sake of having a different opinion.
