Here's something I want to comment on, and it is related to this Mega Man 9 NES homebrew's usage of the MMC5 mapper. The homebrew's remix of Galaxy Man's stage theme utilizes two additional pulse channels offered by the MMC5, but here's the catch... an unmodded NES console won't be able to recognize these extra voice channels. So, what we're left with is a (mono) sound recording of a remixed song that is supposed to take advantage of two extra voice channels the MMC5 provides, but they're left unused here because the NES console this was recorded from wasn't modified to account for this circumstance 😕
