It's strange how slippery and sensitive the controls are, especially with the slow speed. I don't know how they managed to make them even jankier than the F-Zero ones... 😭
The game's controls are... poor... compared to Mario Kart 64. And the game doesn't feel like it should've been made for the SNES. And the CPUs are just more unfair compared to later titles. I would give it a... 5/10 in terms of gameplay, but for something like this being made on the SNES at the time, I would give it an 8/10.

I mean, it has its moments, but a 9/10 seems a little bit too high...

Kinda cool how this is composed by the same composer of SimCity (Soyo Oka), but that prototype title screen will always remind me of that Moldy Mario fancam by @ Earthbound64 on Twitter/X
I love it! It's so good! But the Kooopa Jingle is spelt wrong. I have a feeling I could make the entire game because of this!!!
No, the Koopa jingle is very much spelt right. I have a SNES and I played through the whole game. In the game, I found the exact same spelling as used in this comment.
I loved this game as a kid in the 90s so I know most of them by heart. We'd use our fav racer and try to top each other's time trials, hundredths of a second at times but just enough to push your sibling to try harder 😂lot of fond memories with koopa troopa or "turtle" as we and many others called him 👍😎 thank you very much for this, wife even started thinking one of her best friends was secretly coming behind to throw an item at her when playing battle mode theme 🤣
