This... is a masterpiece. I remember beating the game with my brother almost a year ago. This game has been my favorite. It is so nostalgic. The darker side was hard, but since I had assist mode and 2-player mode with my brother, it was easy. I started a new file and have been dedicating all my play time to it. I am going to 100% complete this game with no assist mode on, and no 2-player. I am going to finish before the next 3D-mario comes out.

pretty fun and solid soundtrack. not my favorite in the series but there are some great songs here. think my favorites are probably the bubblaine and steam gardens themes.

end of a traditional festival gives me goosebumps. I will never forget that jingle after that out of body experience in new donk city. Thank God for Nintendo and bringing me into the wonderful world of gaming. :)

I think it looks good personally. Some other games like 3D World and Galaxy probably look better, but I wouldn't say Odyssey looks dull.

That's pretty much true, sometimes some games have an amazing story but bad gameplay, or a story has a niece story but amazing gameplay, and some games are usually a good mix of both, and some games turn out for the worst. I do love this game though, but I never beat the Darker side of the moon tho
I mean this may be a bit a controversial but I think the same for Sonic The Hedgehog 2006, the game has much more serious tone to it, although the gameplay is trash because it was rushed out by SEGA but thx to a fella named ChaosX he saw the potential the game had and decided to remake the game from the ground up making into the perfect Sonic game

One of the best qualities of Mario games is that they focus on gameplay. You don't need a deep story to make a good game. If your game has an awesome story but trash gameplay, you might as well just watch a YouTube playthrough.
That's pretty much true, sometimes some games have an amazing story but bad gameplay, or a story has a niece story but amazing gameplay, and some games are usually a good mix of both, and some games turn out for the worst. I do love this game though, but I never beat the Darker side of the moon tho
like, the game is short but every second you pass, every pixel you look at, and every sound you hear had a lot of thought put into and was masterfully made. y'know i actually cried a bit after (spoilers) cappy said goodbye to you in darker side. it really shows that you dont need to pay 10k bucks for 8k 400fps 3d crap. the game (handheld) runs at 720p 60fps and it still made me happy. gameplay and fun are the only things that matter. 2017/10 go buy this game go buy this game GO BUY THIS GAME.

When I got Super Mario Odyssey for my 22nd birthday In April of this year, I was NEARLY IN TEARS because I could not get over how AMAZING the game Is. The HD and the music of it ALL is just BOTH stupendous and spectaclar, I just could not get over it just like how I will NEVER EVER get over the past Mario games dated all the way back to 1985 when the ORIGINAL/CLASSIC Super Mario Bros. got released on the NES. The Super Mario Bros. Series is just a classic, fun and nostalgic expierience that you can NEVER get sick of or even out grow. I first fell in love with the Mario Series when my Grandma sent me Mario Kart Wii as my first EVER Mario game and the Nintendo Wii being my very first ever Nintendo/Gaming System EVER!!!! And just listening to The Super Mario OST's just brings me back to my childhood. Like, I remember vividly beating BOTH my PARENTS In MK Wii and watching Mii got 1st place all the time and them getting dead last and them asking Mii, how are you THAT GOOD at Mario Kart, and replying back to them saying I'm just THAT GOOD. Mario Kart Racing has been in my blood/DNA since the day I was born. I was born to be a Nintendo/Mario Fan/Lover!!!!:love::love::love::love::love::love:
What an amazing experience
I genuinely forgot how phenomenal this score is! I cannot believe this game is over 5 years old now! Time flies by so fast. I remember getting my Switch on Christmas 2017. The ending is awesome. Break Free (Lead the Way) has got to be one of the best Mario songs of all time honestly! I'm not even into rock. Songs like Steam Gardens and Jump Up Superstar are also absolute bops. Nearly each song in this OST is iconic, at least to me, since I played this game a ton back in 2017-2018.
