Its better than what Nintendo, Sony, and even Sega has done in these past couple of years I can tell you.
The funniest part was when Nintendo lost the ROM of the original Super Mario Bros. and had to download one from some site to sell it in their online shop. The ROM's dumper was immortalized that way.
But imagine if they successfully had stopped ROMs on the internet, Super Mario Bros. could have been lost forever! The ROM scene had to save it!

But anyway I'm glad this drama is finally over. I personally believe both physical and digital preservation are valid and important but these days it's more convenient and future proof for preserving the roms online and emulation in general since discs and carts will not last forever, even if it hurts that we probably won't play most if not everything in the next 100 or so years on its intended native hardware. Its better than what Nintendo, Sony, and even Sega has done in these past couple of years I can tell you.

Let’s say you are a developer and develop a game you spent a lot of time into it and want people to pay you for your product.

Installing cfw specifically so you can get games is a valid reason to do so since you can't really get 3ds games anywhere else

Personally as someone whos getting themselves a New 2DS XL sometime for modding purposes, I like to keep my og consoles pure. I have two Wiis, one is my old primary unmodded one and the other is modded with homebrew, Project M, and some Wiiware. Hello! And I finally have found my 3DS console! Also, the soundtrack of the 3DS is amazing! But, I really remember the 3DS history as well.
2011- Original 3DS
2012- XL
2013- 2DS
2015- New 3DS XL
2017- New 2DS XL
So, mom found my 3DS after a one year hiatus with no 3DS. And the model of the 3DS that I have is the New 3DS XL. And thanks mom for finding that 3DS and charge it. And I love it! Also, 3DS eShop was shut down by Nintendo but I can redownload my games on the 3DS. And thank you for reading this post.
So much memories. I just want to relive them by getting a new 3ds. I have the sd card from my progress. So I can see my videos again. It's also like a voice changer and video gallery in one. Where you can watch video and change it's effects. Ahh I loved doing that 🥰

The initial setup track always gets me, it's like it knows that it'll be listened to once and never thought of again by most people.
I just noticed that Initial Setup is just the background synths from the System Settings theme.
This is the best handheld console ever and probably the best game console ever. I never even had that many games. I have like 10 games and 9 of them are Mario games and the other is Ultimate NES Remix. This is still my favorite console.

Ah, the 3DS! One of the greatest Nintendo consoles of all time! When the 3DS was released in March 2011, it was a huge hit! Many people all over the world with a DSi wanted the new Nintendo 3DS. And they did! Expect some people get a 3DS later in September when there was a big price drop to $199.99 in North America. The greatest thing about the 3DS is its 3D feature. Many people are excited about the new feature of stereophonic 3D gaming. But, some people don’t like that 3D feature. Unlike other Nintendo handhelds except the DSi, the 3DS is region locked! The concept of region locking is fisrt discovered by Nintendo and did it to all of its home consoles except the Nintendo Switch and inducing the DSi and 3DS which are handhelds rather than home consoles. I did use caesar before.. I didn't like the results, except for Swapnote and eShop, those are the only apps that worked perfectly with it afaik.
I also didn't bother with 3DS SDK because of the reason you mentioned..
If someone can make an even better rip, I would appreciate it.
I guess the current recordings are the closest we can get for high quality ost.
There is a tool in the 3ds's SDK called "soundplayer". it can play 3DS sequences, unfortunately,3ds SDKs are hard to find, the only other way to get a good enough rip is by converting the sequence to midi using kr3nshaw's caesar tool and re-creating the effects. This HAS been done before for the Wii music rips uploaded on July 12th, 2020. It's pretty difficult and you'd have to do it for each sequence. this is all the knowledge I have on that, apart from that, an SF format could also be useful, but no such file format has been developed yet.

They aren't, these are recorded in Citra Emulator using the video dump feature and the Audio LLE (multi-core) setting. The reason you hear background noise is probably because the music is not meant to be played at high volume. (I had to increase the volumes of the tracks, they sounded too quiet.)
I really wish someone makes a tool that rips sequence music accurately..
Also, I attempted modding some of the system apps on real 3ds but the system just crashes instead.

The initial setup track always gets me, it's like it knows that it'll be listened to once and never thought of again by most people.

Some good songs, but I was looking for Streetpass Mii Plaza theme 4. I also couldn't find all of the Find Mii songs. I recommend making a Streetpass Mii Plaza album.
