Honestly, I'm not sure why the string channel doesn't play sometimes. I'm also unsure on whether or not other MIDIs are affected by something similar.

Great rip, unfortunately there seems to be an error with the title theme (one of the string sections is missing).
Don't know if there are any other errors, but I hope these little inconsistencies can be fixed, because this is probably the best Hexen rip on this site yet.

Interesting... I looked into it in case I forgot to mix a midi channel in but no. This midi file was released in a forum 1-2 years back since Kevin Schilder himself sent the user all original midis. Thing is, I didnt even notice this since I am used to the redbook version and this one doesnt have the instrument you talk about either. However, I could verify that the final game release title mus file had indeed an additional string channel instrument. Really peculiar situation. Might update the title with the mus exclusive channel included at some point.

EDIT:
Actually there are some other small differences. I guess the version that came with Kevin Schilder's mid files was older and was reworked shortly before release. I will probably move the current title to the end as early version bonus track and add the final mus title as track 1.
