Just a term I came up with that basically means I take the audio and remaster it which can mean many things including EQing, editing, VST processing, rendering from scratch, arranging, etc. To be honest it depends on the release since there are many and they are all made with different methods. The Duke Nukem 3D soundtrack was rendered from scratch with the help of Roland SCVA and then mixed down from scratch since I rendered all MIDI channels seperately and also properly mastered and declicked the tracks. Re-Engineering is just a top term for all these kind of things since I like to dabble in audio engineering. I could have also used remastered but I feel like the term is overused and doesnt specify enough what kind of work went into the release. If you download my releases through Squid-Board, they also come with documentations that explain a bit more how I made them.
