Description
Tracks 1-16 contain the original 60Hz rip.
Tracks 17-30 contain the 50Hz versions to match the speed of the music when played on a PAL console running on 50Hz, causing the music to play at a slower pace. Usually, that happened when playing a pirated version called "Super Contra 6", commonly found among taiwanese clones, on a taiwanese 50Hz famiclone, which is how most eastern europeans happened to play the game. This version was therefore backed by popular demand.
Contra Force begins with the player being asked to choose between one of four characters. In addition to Burns, the team's leader, the player can also choose between Iron, a heavy weapons expert; Smith, a sharpshooter; and Beans, a demolitions expert. Each character differs from each other, not just in what weapons they wield, but also in their speed and jumping ability.

Hmmm, looks like only the 50Hz rip was uploaded. I'll make sure to fix that by mixing both 60Hz and 50Hz together and tweaking the track order to feature 50Hz after the original 60Hz version, should be up soon (hopefully this week).

That's nice. I wish Konami would make another Contra that isn't bad or that's just a plain cash grab (Which is happening to a lot of Konami franchises if they're not in hiatus or limbo).

I agree with the music to a certain degree, but I like these (Contra Force) tracks more than the ones from Contra, which are mid. Super C has memorable tracks that I used to hum along to, but Contra Force was memorable enough to have some of its songs remixed and even put into an entirely new game [at the time], Contra ReBirth!

Contra Force has a amazing soundtrack! It doesn't compare to Contra or Super C, but it still has a great soundtrack. Is it just me or the third stage theme sounds like something you'll hear out of a NES Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game? Especially the second one. As for the game itself, it's slow and bland. The stages drag on with annoying enemies and useless weapons. Also the game's framerate drops every five seconds which is really irritating. This game also has a character select, so that's nice... I guess. As for the bosses, they're easy, boring, and they take too long to die. Expect for the final boss which is really annoying and hard to dodge. Ironically, it's most the most expensive NES contra game (It's 130+ dollars for a physical cartridge). Overall, Contra Force is a mediocre game with long and boring stages, useless weapons, easy bosses that take too long to die, and a great soundtrack.
Soundtrack: 7.5/10.
