The first two Ys manage to squeeze a sweet, rich sound out of the Turbografx that is rarely achieved in early synth. Even though this album is short, it packs a punch and has several memorable tracks that while not always complex, sound amazing.

@MusicMaven , this is one of the few Turbografx games I've actually played. I think the CD Audio here probably just refers to a few voiced moments they had in the game, which were relatively amazing for home consoles in the late 80s. Anyway, those don't seem to be included, but all the audio if I recall correctly was just native synth.

And this includes Ys I & II so I think it should be more than 16 tracks?

I'm very confused here. This says it is the CD-ROM version, but it sounds like it came from a cartridge, and doesn't even have as many tracks as the other set located here which actually sounds like CD audio: https://downloads.khinsider.com/game-soundtracks/album/ys-book-i-ii-ancient-ys-vanished
