I'm part of a group trying to preserve as much audio as possible, and cd redbook has always been a fascination. I also think it would be amusing to have precise copies of hentai game soundtracks.

https://eacguide.github.io/ is the gold standard for preservation. It's a lot to set up the first time, though. Worth it for having verified perfect rips for all future projects though.

I was debating doing it myself, but the games are like $40 on ebay now.

I know many people use EAC to extract music from cd(I've given the download link of the virtual cd of 2 games for you, so you don't need to buy it any more, foobar2000 can load and extract virtual cd files).
But I prefer to use foobar2000 to do so as I used both two methods to extract misic and thought that foobar2000 is easier to use for me. The only difference between two tools is that EAC can provide wav+log+cue file which foobar2000 can only provide wav+cue, the log file can't be provided. If you don't mind it, I think they are actually the same.

I'm not sure if this is compliant, but here are the download links for two games (X-Change 1 and 2):
https://katfile.com/q3p9ke1j40xh/[990827][CROWD]_X_Change_2_(2bin+2cue).rar.html
https://katfile.com/cs70500g0m3a/[971024][CROWD]_X_Change_(ccd+img).rar.html

This game has two sources for background music. When you load the CD, it uses the audio tracks included on the CD (CDDA). If the CD is not loaded, it plays music based on the MID files installed with the game. These two sources usually sound different.

Do you own a cd copy of this game? I'm looking for someone with xchange 1 or 2 that can follow a precise rip guide to make a 100% accurate flac copy.

I already replied to the person above in dm, so I'll explain here. This rip was made on unique hardware with its own soundbank and recorded from the sound output. The vocal tracks were manually converted to stereo. Also all tracks were normalized. You won't do anything like this, especially following some generic manual. And I only posted it on this site, so if you replace it, no one will find it anywhere else on the net. If at least 3 people post about lossless, I'll probably remade it in lossless, but the difference is unlikely to be noticeable by ear.

Thanks for uploading. This seems to be the BGM extracted from the game file, because I also extracted the BGM of this game recently. If it is extracted from the game file, I would like to ask why the sound quality of the BGM you extracted is so good. I tried to convert the MID format audio file in the game into WAV, and found that the sound quality is strange. Can you share your method of converting the format? Thank you.

By the way, if you use foobar2000 to directly capture CD music, it will be strange compared with the music in the game.
