It is… quite strange for a musician—not to like loops, I'd said...? But okay
Rather, not really okay (it was just a conditional ending to the sentence)
I believe, it's not something related to the technical side (that it was technically impossible to do loops, or such), but something purely ideological, your very personal, subjective
Shouldn't loops feel like… something that is… conversely… correct, right and perfectionistic...? And not the kind of perfectionism that, allegedly, deprives something of its soul, but the kind that is simply necessary, like some bare minimum of perfectionism… Like… when you listen to music, and its ending and beginning are so seamlessly looped that it feels like just a continuation of the sample (or whatever these "building blocks" of music are called)
I'm not sure how much involvement in music theory is required to reengineer soundtracks… I suppose, it's not exactly at the level of a some average musician, but yet it's clearly not something one can just learn in a day—so you obviously must have some knowledge relative to me, who has no expertise at all… But, yet, I just can't shake the feeling that it's actually even making it twice as strange to me that, being a musician, you don't like loops
I could maybe understand it in the context of regular streaming music (not sure what to call it)… with a duration of about three minutes… Specifically in such conditions, it's really completely fine, and actually even most artists make full-fledged outros for their tracks… But clearly not in the context of a video game OST with tracks ranging from half a minute to two minutes at most (averaging about a minute and a half)… and where the music is largely designed primairly to be listened to repeatedly within the context of the work itself, rather than outside of it
Should have specified. I dont like the loops in this game because they dont always sound seamless to me, especially the stuff from Vol 1. I dont mind loops for VGM music in general since they serve a purpose in terms of game sound design though I would always prefer proper endings. Also this was a experimental release since I wanted to try mixing some releases. Maybe I will redo this at some point once the new update dropped and do just loop fades but who knows...

Oh yeah man I've downloaded over 10,000 tracks totaling up to 90 gigs since 2018 (its a problem) safe to say I'm pretty keen on sound quality.
And yeah I guess it's not for me I still can't really find much reason to hear this one but AY that's just my personal thoughts, i'll end it by saying thank you for posting all of your different enhanced soundtracks, i've downloaded a few of them and liked what you've done.
I want to love it and i did read your notepad in the folder, but really i just can't validate the need of a Re-engineered version when they sound near identical and actually MISSING portions
A bit of a nitpick, but i've been listening to these tracks since they released, sometimes on the loop the song SLIGHTLY changes, you should be able to point it out on Overworld night at 0:24 and then during the loop at 1:22 on the offical soundtrack. Very huge nitpick but it just feel's like im losing content.
Is there any specific track where you feel like your enhancements were the most noticeable?
Its a mixed arrangement so yeah, because of the mixing each track misses a few seconds at the transition. I did it since I dont like loops and the official OSTs do not even loop and just cut off suddenly. Its literally my only mixed release out of 100 or so and I did it specifically because I wanted a mixed version rather than a looped or sudden cut off one.
I guess its just not for you. I mean you can just listen to the official thing or other peoples works. Its impossible to cater to everyone.
As to improvements, all tracks are declicked by hand in RX so if you are an audiophile or sensitive to these things, it should sound cleaner and more pleasant. Not all notice such details though.
