Description
Star Force is a vertically scrolling shoot-em up based on the 1984 Tecmo (formerly known as Tehkan) arcade of the same name released in North America in 1987 and in Europe in 1989/1990.
Most of this game's code is borrowed from Hudson Soft's 1985 Famicom port of Star Force but with updated elements added by Tecmo, including an updated title screen, soundtrack and sound driver.

Fun Fact:
The NES version of Star Force was the first soundtrack Keiji Yamagishi arranged. In 1988, under the pseudonym "More Yamasan", Keiji was one of the composers and sole arranger of the soundtrack for Tecmo's Ninja Ryukenden (Known in North America as Ninja Gaiden and known in Europe as Shadow Warriors).
