You know, I've listened to around 900 old video game albums on this site and during the first half of the 1990s. And from that era, I would say that Princess Maker 2 is perhaps the best of them all. That said, the Turbografx-16 version is a weak link- The sound has obviously not been optimized for some tracks: Specifically, the seasons in tracks 1-4 sound off key and Meet the Monster [11] has a weird pause at 0:17 that just doesn't fit. However, many of the songs still sound great in the Turbografx hardware and have that characteristic warm feel of the system. And really, it's awesome to have more versions of Princess Maker 2.

If you really want to hear a great version of Princess Maker 2, try the soundtrack remake version (labelled merely "Princess Maker 2 (1995)" on this site). If you just want native synth though, the FM Towns is pretty awesome too.
