Kojima found the plagiarism of the theme (Sviridov 1974) later, and had to fire the composer for the theme of mgs123
That's the reason why in the later remakes of mgs123, the theme was obselete; mgs4 has "father and son" theme, the mgsv takes peace walker theme
Though the peace walker theme is good... Too bad we can't have the former theme in future mgs games

I love this, I can remember some of the scenes just by the soundtracks.

This is a great soundtrack, even if I didn't download that much. That's because every tune remained unchanged when it made it to the 3DS remake, with Yoshis in place of Kerotans.

I love this game as well as the soundtrack. I also love Harry Gregson Williams, he makes the best music. I would always recommend this game, best game ever and best music ever

Hideo Kojima and Fumito Ueda are my 2 favorites for video games I wonder how phantom pain and silent hills will work out.

Demo teather song is missing...

This musical score is wonderful. The pieces feel like timeless works. But I do need some clarification on some pieces, such as track 102; MGS3's main theme. Its initially timed as 6:32, but for some reason, the track extends itself up to a time of 10:18. Why does it extend itself for so long?

MGS series are beyond only a game, they are really excellent dramatic and exiting and also amazing games far from all other action-adventur e games; specially MGS3 and MGS4; however each single version
couldn 't be imagined without realization of other versions.

This game is by far, one of the greatest games of all time. The characterizatio n is wonderful. The gameplay mechanics are magnificant. The storyline, especially with the twist at the end with ADAM and Ocelot, is ironic and well founded, and the soundtrack is the perfect way to seal the deal. I have beaten the game on every difficulty including European Extreme (It Is Hard)and yet I still play it. I want them to make more MSG games just like Snake Eater but with a different story and different locations. Everything else can stay the same. So as far as I'm concerned, the game gets 10/10 and the soundtrack, 10/10.

The music was good... hated the controls... and the final boss was anti-climactic. .. I had more difficulties with Volgin than I did with The Boss

The only memorable songs are battle in the base and snake eater. You guys don't know music, this isn't real music, this is movie music. Anyway a GOOD soundtrack is a FF one, I can remember almost every song from FF games, for example.

Hope you can get the Soundtrack from Metal Gear Solid 4! No one can keep up with HGW he is THE MAN, man! MGS 4 ever!!!!

I love the mgs soundtracks. I cant wait until them mgs4 ost comes to this site. Only to bad that the soundtracks of the original two MSX Metal Gear games are not on this site.

While the music here was fairly decent, prior metal gear installments in my opinion have better music in them. Or at least more memorable.

Guys, for the last time, ANY music which you think is missing is not, most likely the sections you like are in the main theme song or similar. eg 7/10 Guest the music just before fighting the Shagohod is in the middle of the Metal Gear Solid 3 Theme Song

The song just before fighting the Shagohod is missing. Otherwise this is a good album. Shame that song is missing though, that was my favourite.
