It's very good, but there is a detail that I don't like, and makes me prefer the original version... an example, listen to the track “main hall of mirrors”, the tambourines are “suppressed”, so to speak, unlike the original version in which the tambourines sound, and they don't stop suddenly, because it's a digital instrument (and no, it's not because the original version has a reverb effect on top of it). . but the real detail that I don't like is that they all sound like a “covered sound”, that is, it is very worked, I even hear an extra “instrument” that is practically not heard in the original version, but, in spite of it, it seems that at the end he added an effect that makes it sound like that... (it's like when you play in VisualBoy Advance, and instead of having the sound at 44 khz you have it at 22 khz, it sounds like that, only not so much, but you can hear it).
My release needed a lot of patchwork. I originally intended to use VGMStream renders but they weirdly enough sounded worse to me than Midi renders. This release here is based on Midi renders. I also changed some more aggressive instruments/samples to be toned down but it might also be due to the Midi conversion in general that they sounded like that. The samples in the ROM are sadly not that quality and it might be worth looking into a restoration similar to what Church Of Kondo has done with the Pokemon music. Basically injecting lossless original samples into the ROM and then render it via VGMStream. The minimal reverb I added because I felt the original was way too flat and lifeless sounding though I did this update not that long ago. My YouTube channel still has the version without the reverb effect. I might remake this in the future since I think I could do better nowadays but who knows if I ever do this. I did lots of Kirby releases recently which I didnt release yet and I am kinda burned out on the pink ball for now.

What is the point of "Re-engineered OST"when you have it already on this site?
For GBA games, people like to reconstruct the soundtrack from source to bypass quality loss from cart sample compression or the GBA sound system.
With GBA remasters sometimes it's fairly automatic, using samples from the cart with a tool like GBAMusRiper. Other times the "re-engineering" is more extensive, like the various efforts to re-sequence the Super Circuit soundtrack with original uncompressed samples from the Roland SoundCanvas 8850.
Compare a few tracks from both versions to see if you have a preference:

To me the 2nd version (the one on this page) sounds 'cleaner', and more crisp. Maybe a little cheesier. xD It's also easier to pick the different instruments apart. In the original they kind of blend together more due to the noise, which could be good or bad. Also these remasters tend to be mixed louder, so you might want to play with the volume.
