Description

Mixing genres is often a risky exercise, especially when it comes to two schools as far apart as horizontal shooting and RPG: this is, however, the challenge of Gunner's Broom , horizontal shooting alternating with typical parts of the role playing game .

The heroine of the game is a little kitty riding a broom, in the style of Cotton or Mystic Riders, using elemental magic to defeat the bad guys. The shooting part is excellent, in a “big sprite” style quite typical of a certain dôjin scene (with games like Gundemonium). The graphics are very fine and cute, with each level having a marked theme and treated with care. The general atmosphere is very funny: the enemies have impossible faces, the bosses make faces, make stupid screams, etc.
