Sweet Soundtrack it is really called Dk Jamz though. It has a Jungle feel with a mix of great joms and some songs have a great build up starting calm to crazy. I love the main theme and i love this game i use to just keep it on the start screen to listen.

Definitely one of the best soundtracks in a videogame, ever! Specially considering it first came out for Super Nintendo 16-bits.
It's one of my favorites!
Thank you so much for this great website!

Revolutionary game! One of the best for the SNES. Sick soundtrack as well! The sequels were even better IMO.

Best songs: DK island swing, Bonus room blitz, Life in the mines, Forest frenzy, Treetop rock, Misty menace, Ice cave chant, Fear factory, Gang-plank galleon.

Best song: Aquatic ambiance.

10/10

Missing 1 track. Jungle Groove. Jungle Groove wasn't actually from the game, but was a remix of DK Island Swing included in the original soundtrack. The remix was more modern sounding than the original. Oh well, at least these files don't have the clicks at the end of the track that the OST supposedly had. And here they have the opening fanfare as a separate track, unlike the OST, that's nice. I think this is just a game rip, ironically turning out better than the actual OST, which didn't have 24-27 of the files listed here.

Thank you so much! I could not find anything leading me to the original soundtracks. You guys are a lifesaver giving me a chance to listen to some of my childhood game music again, it brings back so many memories, thank you.

At any rate... I love this sound track!!

There are some blips in the tracks, it would be considered high quality if it weren't for these.

David wise is 1 of the most talented brilliant composer's decades later his amazing songs are still being worshipped for the amazing treasures they are, in the video game world and in the music world. Timeless amazing 1 of a kind, words to describe his amazing contributions to the world of nintendo, and even just the world of sound and music. Nothing quite like this has ever been. The only other video game songs and sounds I think can even hold a candle to David wise, is the OST to OoT, Zelda ocarina of time, has truly amazing sounds within its virtual walls of 1,s and 0,s. Donkey kong country sounds are much better tho.

Aquatic Ambiance is top tier. The rest of the soundtrack is great too, but it's hard to think of a track that holds its own as much as number 8 on this album.

Who says that games nowadays are easier, games back then were comparatively easier due to the speed that the system could send and receive to and from the controllers... and nowadays games have you pressing buttons at a rate that most players back then would have thought impossible...
But anyhow, this is a great album... The game really took the SNES to its max and allowed Nintendo to essentially skip the 32-bit era and come in with the n64 and all the other 3D era consoles and up to the Nintendo switch, this console is the one that changed everything...

Stellar, it is amazing as a soundtrack... the work that the audio engineer put into this is astounding. I wish patreon existed back then, so I could give him all my money!
