That fan cover is so terrible! The image is clearly made by applying a filter on the original pixel art. But what the hell did they do to the text?

Amazing soundtrack. Wii version was a disservice to these legendary tracks, at least imo -- at least most versions let you go back to this version of the soundtrack. Most later remixes are better than the Wii version but still can't go wrong with these.

I went through an entire phase with this game, being a fanboy of it.

Balcony and Geothermal are my favorites.

This game was the best game I have ever played. Its even better if you're a furry ;)

I must say that Cave Story was and is an amazing game through all systems. I'm so into it my PC is Cave Story themed! The game was created by one guy on Steam then spread like no other game. I laugh at TF2 when I realise this. The most memorable songs of all, even though Eyes of Flame sounds like a gassy action movie orchestra.

This version is the best, Pixel is a genius. Nicalis completely butchered the soundtrack when they remade they game for WiiWare. At least they left the option of playing with the old version, though, so no complaints there.

The music is just so beautiful. The makers have made the music fit very well with the scene. That is why Cave Story is amazing. No-one will ever change my opinion on the game. Like I said before, the music is great. 9001/10

This game turned a not-so-great summer into one I'll never forget.

My all time favorite old-school themed music, and the many remixes are not bad either. The best is really the listen in-game with a good sound-system.

I like the fact that most of the songs are here, but there is only 1 that I cant see which is the track number 37 T.T, its "white", or also known as king's theme, if anyone could upload that i would apreciate that :)

It really is worth downloading. In fact the game must be played, and beaten, before this is listened to. It is just the perfect soundtrack to a perfect little game.

Classic game for anyone who truly loves old school gaming. Kudos for having the soundtrack available!

Cave Story is one of the best, if not THE BEST freeware game out there. Its developer, who goes by the handle "Pixel", spent 5 years developing the game _by himself_. Every track in this album oozes with personality, and some of them just make you want to bounce. On To Grasstown is a particularly good track; easily my favorite of the bunch. If you can't bring yourself to like this album, I feel sorry for you.

This is an amazing game and the music is one of the most memorable game soundtracks I have ever heard!
