There comes the fourth volume of 2017 "Anarchy Online Music Collection". It's a totally new set containing unreleased tracks of wich many ain't in game, some pieces created exclusively for this release, and the music from an episode of AO "Animated Series".
This gathering is principally committed to Lost Eden and robotical compositions.
As a Sci-Fi world, AO brings the player to cross numerous ambiences. This range includes natural surroundings on one side ... opposed to more technologic ingredients on the other: drone engineering, DNA twisting, quantum teleporting, etc.
That far end of the spectrum clearly features elements like Omni-Tek, Atrox, Mechs or Grid, all musically illustrated in this volume.
The folders of the game contain approximately 1400 samples of various durations that are adaptatively arranged in realtime, taking many parameters in consideration, to reinforce the interaction players have with AO.
Therefore, such music can be considered the soundtrack of a futuristic "movie" being "written" as playtime goes by...
Back in 2006, the Lost Eden expansion introduced battle mechs for the very first time into the game, which inspired us to incorporate the huge metallic clangs directly into the soundtrack.
The classical orchestra plays the heroic symphony against these robotic step sounds in a very cool and dramatic way.
