Description

This is the second volume of 2017 "Anarchy Online Music Collection". It's a revisiting of the 2004 "Original Soundtrack - vol. 02", minus a few duplicated tracks from previous volume, plus some unprecedented mixes and the music from an episode of AO "Animated Series". This opus is largely devoted to Shadowlands hymns.

The planet of Rubi-Ka is a diverse world, spanning from the metropolis of Omni-1 to the metaphysical realm of Shadowlands, where each player spends hundreds of hours in-game.

This means that our music must reflect a wide range of situations; from huge cities, wide plains, hip clubs, deep forests, dry deserts to mystical places.

We always seek to trigger emotions in each new situation.

All the in-game music in Anarchy Online is interactive, and the player trigger various music defined by action, location and certain other game elements such as time of the day, size of monster, alignment, how you are faring in combat etc..
As such close to 1400 five to ten second segments of music are seamlessly pieced together while playing the game in order to create a diverse and constantly changing musical backdrop.

It is not often i find use of those jazzy organ-licks of mine in a world like AO or Shadowlands, but with our commercial for the Jobe Luxury-apartment we wanted to create this loungy, laidback feel, and what was more in place than bringing out the fuzzy Rhodes, the dusty Hammond-organ and the sensual female vocalist ?
