:Saixy:: Well, he can copy weapons to an extent, since he was holding Soul Eater, and I think Nomura said his weapon was in a cutscene, so he was copying it. Maybe his eye can copy weapons by seeing how they're used.
Nobodies are like robots, they collect data [even though there are advanced ones]. It could be something about collecting data, since he's a Nobody, and thus like a robot that uses data to create weaponry.
