Description:
"Guide Mario trough some increasingly tricky levels in this sweet retro platformer. Can you grab all the stars?" -Friv

Super Mario Bros Star Scramble is (presumably) a Mario fan-game that ended in various of the most popular sites of flash games. In the game you control Mario in 10 level, the gameplay is about exploring small levels where a certain amount of Shine-Sprites are in, but you must be careful avoiding pits and enemies that make you lose a live from a single hit.

I can't find a developer for this game (also for the lack of any credits in-game), so, probably this origin of this game is the team of the (now dead) website supermario.com

Super Mario Bros Star Scramble is a Mario fan-game made in Adobe Flash that ended in various of the most popular flash games sites. In the game you control Mario in 10 level. This game originally came from Newgrounds in the page of his developer, but it was taken down from the site likely in 2020 (According to Wayback Machine). According to the game description on the Flashpoint Archive was taken down from Newgrounds due to a Nintendo DMCA, along many other Mario games on the site. (Probably for being sponsored with a site wich its domain name is "supermario.com" without any kind of shame?)
