The game was published in October 1989 by Asmik in Japan and in North America by Seismic Software in April 1990, where the game was rebadged as "Super Hydlide".

This game is a updated port of T&E Soft's earlier game: "Hydlide 3: The Space Memories (ハイドライド3 異次元の思い出)", which released in 1987 on MSX, MSX2, and PC-8801mkII SR home computers.
