After this game came Star Fox 2 on the SNES Classic/Switch in 2017. Making Star Fox Zero the 2nd to last Star Fox game currently. It is a bit embarrassing for Star Fox Zero to not be the last game currently. It has garnered more attention after it's poor launch on a dying console, the Wii U was a aged console when this released. So people weren't really sure about this game, but interestingly it is very much like Star Fox 64, in a lot of different ways except for the addition of Medals in the levels properly (Like the flags in Star Fox Assault, released way earlier), and like the later released Star Fox 2 has additional mechanics for added gameplay styles. Zero definitely resurrected the Star Fox name, but will this game get a proper sequel on the Switch 2? Only time will tell... |
