Description:
Sky Robo, known in Japan as Tatakae! Big Fighter (戦え!ビッグファイター) is a shoot 'em up video game developed by Nichibutsu and released in 1989 for Arcades. It is a spin-off of the Terra Cresta series, and Nichibutsu's last Arcade title.
Description:
Sky Robo is a horizontal side-scrolling shooter. The player controls a ship that can change into two forms, a fighter and a robot, with a button action. In the robot form, the limbs are stretched and the area hit by the enemy's attack increases, but shooting that could only be done in the direction of travel (front and back) can now be done up and down and diagonally by operating the lever. During the transformation, a barrier-shaped ring is generated around the aircraft, which can damage enemies, and it is possible to intentionally repeat the transformation and attack enemy parts that are difficult to shoot. The ring is capable of destroying some enemy bullets but can't prevent all enemy attacks.
