Description

The game is split between two distinct and alternating portions: investigation sections, and interrogations. Most of the cases follow the same routine, in which the player is given the basic facts of the case by Alfendi Layton, then must investigate the crime scene using the Mystery Room's crime scene recreation device. At the start of the case, the player is typically given a set amount of time to do a cursory sweep of the crime scene, and then must say who they think the murderer is based on their first impressions. Following this, the investigation proper commences, with further time spent examining the circumstances surrounding the crime (such as the means, motive, or certain puzzling aspects of the murder itself), finding evidence to back up points, and answering certain multiple choice questions.

I'm surprised they got Yuzo Koshiro of all people to do this game, he knocked it out of the park! Some incredible jazz tracks, it's impressive how such a small mobile game has such an incredible OST.

Definitely not a bad soundtrack for a mobile game for sure! Though, not like the Professor Layton tunes, it's still got catchy jazz tunes!

The music itself is VERY well composed and get me moving every time I hear them, but the audio files are pretty much all crap, so...

You should add the music from the radio show (not the Farrods Sale commercial, the radio show).

A major break stylistically from the rest of the Layton series soundtracks, being very jazzy and horn-heavy. It's well suited for the game, but I don't think it's anything special outside of it. There's a few good tracks here and there. Truth Exposed ~ Conclusion and Rising Tension are personal favorites.
