This Super Famicom conversion of WW2 war strategy game Kōtetsu no Kishi plays similarly to the original PC98 version, but includes several key differences. Notably, the scenario maps have been organized into a full campaign, which tasks the player with pushing eastward towards Moscow over the course of the game; after each map, the player can choose to advance, defend, or retreat depending on the current state of their units, which determines which map is played and the player's progress through the campaign. Units under the player's command will gain experience and commendations through combat, which will increase their skill levels. This version also somewhat simplifies the combat simulation mechanics, and omits the two-player mode altogether.
