| Description: | Description: This is a gamerip containing all 154 main tracks from the 7th instalment in the Gran Turismo franchise, GT Sport (2017). All files were extracted directly from the EUR region (CUSA02168) game files (in .pkg format) using various tools on PC, with the music originally encoded by Sony in their proprietary ATRAC9 format in 16 bit 48kHz. I used foobar2000 and the vgmstream component to access the files, then converted it to FLAC, resulting in a preservation of the original ATRAC9 file quality at the compromise of file size. This means that none of these songs are in any lossless format. I simply put the ATRAC9 files in a lossless FLAC container to preserve quality. Most of the song info (tags) was already embedded within a .m3u file that matched the song file (in .sxd2 format) to its header (in .sxd1 format). I simply added some additional info, including numbering the files in the exact order it was listed in the .m3u file, and some basic custom artwork (I barely did much with that!) This is probably the highest quality you will ever find the soundtrack for this game in on the internet (its about time we got the actual song files like we did from previous Gran Turismo games). I do want to thank Alexandero2 from ffshrine.org (https://ffshrine.org/2019/06/flac-gran-turismo-sp ort-2017-ost-gamerip/) for the contribution of his recordings of the soundtrack, which was previously where the highest quality of this sountrack was from, but this new release is the most ORIGINAL source of the soundtrack since it is directly from the game files. However, some songs created by real artists that were featured in GT Sport, such as Digitalism, Fred V & Grafix, and Vince Staples, just to name a few, have released their songs in real lossless quality through specific streaming services that support these formats (and of course, physical media counts). I haven't replaced any files from other sources, however. Enjoy this long-awaited release of the GT Sport Soundtrack in its proper quality! |
