| Description: | Description: The Japanese version of the Mega Drive game contained more explicit religious references that were removed for the English translation. For example, the Crusaders were renamed to the Luciel Army, the Templar Knights to the Dune Cavalry, the Druids to the Catit, Mani to Moa, Ninkan to Jinnkan, and Kukai to Imo Deva. These references were largely retained in the TurboGrafx-CD translation by Working Designs, though there are still some changes in that localization, such as changing references to Christians to "Klispins." The TurboGrafx-CD version also contains a CD audio soundtrack, more cutscenes, and voice acting. The localized Mega Drive version removes a location near Norbian Village where the Crusaders have crucified heretics and burned their village (so Sadler instead finds the survivors of the Camu party in a church in the Norbian Village) and removes the naked townspeople from Elseus, but these were left in the TurboGrafx-CD localization. Victor Ireland, who was the producer of the TurboGrafx-CD translation, described the Mega Drive localization as "near unintelligible in many places." |
