Description
Recorded at the Cryo Laboratory Studio, 1992.
This release is the CD version of the music composed for the french video game 'Dune' (developed & edited by Cryo Interactive, formerly known as Exxos), and based on the Frank Herbert's Dune universe.
The music in the IBM PC version of the game was in MIDI format, while the Amiga version uses the module format.
The game was distributed by Virgin Interactive, which is why this release was published by Virgin's Venture Records (UK) sublabel

Incredible. Chani's Eyes pop your eyes and your heart starts to beat to it!
Spice Opera is a really cool techno album - very soothing, but still has an occasional driving beat. Ace tracks are "Revelation", "Free Man" and "Cryogenia". Excellent atmosphere, basically.
This is the kind of stuff you listen to even if you've never played the game - this music stands on its own merits.
Pity about the artist not being able to get his rights back, you know?
Lovely music, and I'm so danm glad I could reobtain the album, albeit in a digital format. Worth the time to find, soothing 'organic' experimental music. 8)
