| Description: | Description: Donkey Kong 64 (Or just DK64) is a Collect-a-thon style platformer made by the famous company duo Rare & Nintendo right before 2000. It is unusual in that (Apart from Diddy Kong Racing) it is the only N64 game that wasn't ported to Rare Replay on the Xbox One. This allowed it to rerelease on the Wii U. Notorious for it's supposed release calamity, this game has started to seriously age, but when a Randomizer was introduced, popularity exploded for this classic. Where it still has it today. Players no longer play the Vanilla game, rather, they play randomizer variants of DK64. Players haven't tried to decompile this game yet, raising questions whether or not this game will ever be available on Windows, but it isn't confirmed yet. One big note: NEVER play this game for 10 hours straight, the game will really bug out. The cause isn't entirely known, it was at first thought to be a RAM leak, but that idea was thrown out as questions continue to stir about this game. The soundtrack is one of the largest on the N64. |
