I want to apologize up front that this collection isn't in FLAC. The source material is in OGG Vorbis, therefore there's no real reason to compile it as more than that. The spectrals look surprisingly good, though, with some of the action-packed music hitting 22khz.
This little endeavor has taken me almost 2 years at this point, off and on, as Phantom Liberty has kickstarted me to finish it for good. I've had to sift through over 4,000 samples, multiple times, trying to identify the numerous pieces of each song, as the music is sliced into chunks. I then compiled/arranged them into FL Studio, doing it a bit of mastering (to prevent clipping) to give each track a good baseline volume.
I also tried taking as few liberties as I could, at least when it came to piecing together the tracks. I tried not to artificially extend music in ways others have online. Tracks I did make personal touches to are "Songbird's Medley" (For obvious reasons, I wanted to combine a lot of the insignificant tracks together for her), "Arasaka Action" (The two pieces combined needed to be mastered appropriately), "Leaving With Panam" (I combined two of the most crucial endgame tracks for the Aldecaldos questline), "Cynosure Core" (This is recorded in-game, as I couldn't find it in the file-list), and finally, the track with Judy humming (Which is also recording in-game).
To add to the challenge, I had to name many of the tracks' artists. I did the best I could, listening to the official soundtrack and correlating artists to certain synth samples in other arrangements. I also took it into my own interest to name the music in a way that makes more sense to me. For example, rather than naming the title screen "V", I named the character creation screen "V". I also branded the "Kang Tao" music as such, knowing very well that an argument could be made that it might not be exactly right. It's in some random places around the world, but one thing is fairly consistent, is that wherever the Kang Tao roam, that music plays. It's the best I could do.
Anyway, enough talking. Enjoy this trip down memory lane! I surely have. :)
