The song is great. So I would consider it a good thing for there to be two DK Summits!

But yeah, It is pretty jarring. I mean, they are technically different songs... One is ever so slightly longer than the other.

Un-huh. The game's soundtrack isn't "unlistenable if you don't know the game." The game has great music and even if you never heard of Mario Kart Wii before or it's soundtrack, a new player won't find it unlistenable as in it's nails on a chalkboard or something like that. As for the first half, the soundtrack depends on the player's taste in music/video game music. P.S. I don't know about you, but it sounds like you came with some BS hot take just for the sake of having a different opinion.
