These people are brilliant. Not only did they
capture a feeling. The feeling captured them.
I've been to Japan. I like the way they do things... Here in USA people are concerned about
outward appearences. The Japanese culture takes
more of s Gestalt aproach. Process is more important than content. It is not always what you have, but what you do with what you have. Case in point: there only 4 strings on a bass,
and 3 valves on a trumpet. In the hands of a
novice, a bass is just a bass, and a trumpet is
just a trumpet, but in the hands of a master,
infinity is unlocked with the touch of his hand,
the same is true with a trumpet. These people
are masters of their art.
I loved this soundtrack. At first i loved it because the anime was pretty darn good and i liked the ending song very much, so i decided to look into it, and certainly am glad i did because now that i hear this, i am beginning to love the anime more.
These people are great, and if you liked this, try out cowboy bebop, which has the same director and a more jazzy feel (from yoko kanno) and she, like the artists here, is a master of her art (:3)
