You could laugh along like "Yeah, I'm lame." and they'd eventually get bored because they won't get the reaction they want and move on. I know it's difficult to do that, but there's a good chance they'd get off your case. People who do things like target someone because of the way they speak have a very low attention span.

Ichi Teh Killer: This movie looks great, the trailer really got me interested. Jim Carrey came on and I just thought "Wow, this film will be roffle!", and it turns out to be a kick-ass psychological thriller! I've got to see this one.
