Description

Here is the third volume of 2017 "Anarchy Online Music Collection". It's a whole new compilation featuring unreleased tracks of wich a limited part is in-game, several elements composed especially for this release, and the music from an episode of AO "Animated Series". This assortment is particularly dedicated to Notum War and Alien anthems.

One of AO music biggest challenge was to fulfill the double goal of keeping an overall sountrack coherence during whole gametime... while instilling a different feeling for each specific moment !
The Land Control music on flying over a battle field that mixes perfectly to other Rubi-Ka themes, is an illustration of this. Another one is the various Alien themes following players in a city raid, from initial preparation to final big boss.

There are about 1400 musical files, of five or more seconds, to accomplish such an interactive feeling. The game picks out from this pool, adapting to everything: event, side, location, time, combat and many other aspects.
More than a filler element, the music therefore suits the visuals to shape this unique experience players have with AO.

I found some old ambiance sounds originally mixed for the Anarchy online release party in Oslo around 2001. They were created for an atmospheric touch and background soundscapes during this event.
Because they were rusty and quickly made, they wouldn't fit for this release, but they invited me to compose a couple of new tracks now inspired from that time.
The "Clans Tribal Journey" was done from a lot of nature and animal sounds, and the
"Omni-Teks Tribal Trip" was made from a few industrial elements. It was much fun to blow some life into long lost anarchy sounds and sceneries !
