This is a comments thread for the following album: https://downloads.khinsider.com/game-soundtracks/album/persona-2-the-complete-soundtrack
This album is a compilation of Persona 2: Innocent Sin (PSX), Persona 2: Innocent Sin (PSP), Persona 2: Eternal Punishment (PSX) and Persona 2: Eternal Punishment (PSP) soundtracks. There are no duplicates. Those are distinct tracks.Question: Some of the tracks are listed twice (Examples: Tatsuya's Theme, Time Castle, Silverman Manor), and there is a note that some of the tracks were re-uploaded with volume normalisation.
Are these "duplicates" true duplicates, or is one from the original OST and the other from a Remastered OST, making them distinct tracks?
Thank you so much!! <3This album is a compilation of Persona 2: Innocent Sin (PSX), Persona 2: Innocent Sin (PSP), Persona 2: Eternal Punishment (PSX) and Persona 2: Eternal Punishment (PSP) soundtracks. There are no duplicates. Those are distinct tracks.
Thank you for reporting this. For some strange reason, the two Premonition tracks didn't get normalized at all. But as it happens, normalization wouldn't help these two anyway. I don't know how these tracks got damaged this way originally as I'm not the one who ripped them. Something must've happened when they were ripped from the game or the OST's. Compare how they sound in: https://downloads.khinsider.com/game-soundtracks/album/persona-2-innocent-sin-original-soundtrack.If the changes to the decibel tolerance, or whatever it was, was to keep the songs from getting all staticy and peaking out, it didn't work... or the files weren't replaced when the change happened, because several songs still have problems with peaking audio, most notably both versions of Premonition.
Yeah I've noticed the peaking issue on multiple songs, but it's nowhere near as bad as those two. It's also noticeable in some songs in the other Persona "Complete Soundtrack" albums here on the site. I guess a re-rip would be the best idea yeahThank you for reporting this. I could try and manually fix such issues in individual tracks, but considering the original upload was busted and my normalization was nothing more than mitigation, it'd be best to find proper ripped lossless flacs and just rebuilding the collection.
