half the ost is bangers, from someone who loves VGM but hasn't listened to a lot of fighting game osts (like, skullgirls and smash was my jam, then i got obsessed with tekken bc of music). might get into this one and guilty gear :D

the locations the characters and stages are from show off in fun ways, and more niche then what's used to be the Style of [insert country here]. i may have relooped the france stage, Juri's theme, BLANKA OMG, and am relistening to it again.

Aside from just a handful of tracks everything about this game's OST so far sounds so very uninspired and generic that it wouldn't be out of place hearing most character themes in the newest Samsung Galaxy S 52 ad. That being said SFV's OST didn't have much impact to me with it's tracks but at very least it had different genres mixed in it to keep things fresh. In closing, my dissatisfaction is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

I do like this game's soundtrack, and I already know that the game's lead composer Yoshiya Terayama said that it was influenced by hip-hop culture and was intended to represent "a new generation for the series" in-game. Rather than arranging motifs, most of the character theme songs are based on brand-new compositions, with the concept being the characters if they appeared on the streets. As for the three modes, World Tour has a modern, city sound, and generally stays up-tempo, and it makes extensive use of processed samples for brass and vocals, etc. to create a city-like sound. Fighting Ground has an underground street feel to it. The tempo is close to traditional hip-hop, so Terayama's thoughts were to compose original music that revolves around the big booming synth bass. Battle Hub is based on jazzy arrangements, creating an atmosphere of a place where you can connect with people in real-time.

Though some may like Street Fighter 6's new music direction (and some don't), I'll still continue to update this album with new (and missing) tracks, as well as planning to adding/replacing some tracks with their full album versions from the digital OST in future updates.

I like the themes of almost all the characters, so it's obvious that I don't agree with the negativity about the soundtrack.In any case, I'm happy for those who have come across some topics and I hope that future ones will come to those who are still disappointed =)

I wouldn't put much stock into the amount of negativity, more likely to speak up when you don't like something, such is human nature. Some people are getting hard pressed about one game soundtrack being bad (it's not, anyone who says every song sounds the same can be discarded from the discussion). Battle Hub Stage Battle sounds like The Plunderer? Rashid's new track and Spirit of the Flame suck ? I really have bigger fish to fry, none of this is worth my contemplation.

Your opinion is objectively wrong and you have no taste in music. It's not about 'classic themes', there's just no character in it at all. Nothing that expresses what the characters are about, nothing to distinguish one track from another. It's all just uninspired noise.

The music is generic, but it gets the job done. Spirit of the Flame is my favorite, but the others range from okay to alright.

Its a little wild how bad 80% of this games soundtrack is.
Only good themes I've heard are Kimberly's mp3 player song, Jamies theme & Chuns theme.
Manon's stage also sounds good from what I've heard but Im waiting for the upload still.
Disappointed generally though with the performance, they should've gotten the capjams guys for this

I'm not jaded at all. In fact I enjoy plenty of great music. This music, however, is bad, and your 'majority' have no taste. Not that I believe even the UNWASHED MASSES would enjoy this album. It fails at the most basic level. You are a pleb, a simpleton and if you seriously thought this album was good by any measure then you must be tone deaf to boot. Your gaslighting attempts have failed. Plug your ears and swallow more dirt.

What this album represents is nothing short of the death of art.
While it's true that Street Fighter has veered towards hip hop ever since Third Strike, what you find in this album is not hip hop, but rather bland, inspid Nothingness. Had this been soup, I would have been convinced the waiter had brought me a bowl of tap water. Not only does every track dissolve into samey jank pseudo-house music, not only are the instruments infuriatingly generic, and not only do the character themes stand out less than Waldo at a candy cane convention. No, Capcom have decided that's not enough humiliation for their latest offering on the altar of culture-death. Here they have gone so far as to pummel the listeners with the anti-rapture of sugaring trap beat with pseudo dubstep elements. I wanted to blow my brains out only three tracks in. Then realizing there were dozens more tracks to go, felt a final and prolonged despair.
There's no way out of this corner we as a society have been driven into . Too many insidious characters are hellbent on defecating on the legacy of those who came before. I wish Blanka had come out of the arcade cabinet back then in 1999 and actually electrocuted me via a bad cap in the CRT; at least then I wouldn't have known such great disappointment.

Woo boy. Music team absolutely dropped the ball. When iconic characters such as Ryu, Chun, and Guile have themes that sound like generic Training Mode background music, you know something ain’t right.

These are neither easily recognizable, nor any fun and energetic.
