The songs are sourced from the upload on https://vgm.hcs64.com/ which has the main DDR songs in .dsp format.
I don't know how large the .msm file is so maybe it contains both streams and sequences.
Do you know how the main DDR songs are sourced on these uploads? All of the main DDR songs are in a .MSM file on the ISO, which is a sequence file.
You can easily pull all the other SFX/Jingles/non-DDR songs via the "MRODDR_Str.pdt" file, so I know where those come from. However, since "MRODDR_Snd.msm" that contains the main DDR songs is a sequence file, I'm really curious how the uploads were recorded, they seem to be decent quality.
This an amazing soundtrack! Like for me this was an pretty obscure Mario game, but now...
My favorite's are: Jump! Jump! Jump!, Here We Go!, Destruction Dance(probably because of it's meme status) and Bowser's Castle
And all of this is just from listening to the soundtrack alone
To everyone complaining about the classical music not fitting in, they already fit in (see Mario Bros Arcade, Mario Paint, Donkey Kong, Yoshi's Cookie, Super Mario Land, et al).
Just played this on my Dolphin emulator and loved it, I may have not finished the whole story mode but I do know the order of the songs, And these are wonderful sounding, My favorite soundtrack would be the "Here We Go!" one. Classic Mario beats, yo.
Mario songs are a natural choice ddr, but the classical music could've replaced w/ something better.....pref erably songs from other Nintendo franchises. Fire Emblem and Zelda sound (no pun intended) good to me.
Great stuff. Bought the game the first day it was out. Still have it.
Whoever it is that doesn't know why that Mozart song is there, obviously not a Mario fan. All but 2 or 3 songs are not from a Mario game. Love it!

I love this album, mainly because I like techno, but also because all the songs are songs you can dance to, because they all have a steady beat and thats what they were made for, is for you to dance to them.
awesome soundtrack, I think Konami did a great job remixing these songs. I guess people have different tastes but if you like electronic music then you'll probably like this/
sorry to say this but, your album is ... what should I say... impossible to read.
look! Its all in Japanese can you at least traduct?
Out of this languages it is pretty good!
Im sorry but this album just doesnt cut it. It sounds to techno and there are some public domain songs that should be left alone. Mozart should never be pumped up to a base beat, neither should twinkle little star. I am purging this sound track from my computer.
