Personal Favorites: Track 5, 15, 21, 30, 36, 45, Opening Theme [70], Triumphal Return [71], Finale [72], Final Battle [76]
Wooh, what a nice ride. This album is a combo of 8-bit Turbografx synth with fairly standard instruments combined with some orchestral jazz CD audio. Both are fantastically done. The 8-bit arrangements have strong melodies and a minimalistic but engaging instrumentation, with each starkly section standing in contrast with but complementing well the others. There's also an underlying terror theme that runs throughout the 8-bit tracks that is done pretty well. Then following that, the CD audio jazz just takes it up even a notch further. The trumpets in the section of final battle [36] starting at 34 is catchy and great for instance. Just overall, strong album.
Aside from that, note tracks 1-4 + 55-67 are all the same. Although, the track is decent enough, for what it's worth.
