By far the best Classic Mega Man game. Mega Man 9 goes above in beyond to make itself the definitive Mega Man experience. While I don't think the decision to drop Mega Man's slide and charge shot was the best idea, it still worked out. The game is tough, really tough. But with enough time and effort, you can get through it. The soundtrack is the best part. Every song is an absolute bop and some of the best Mega Man music around.
