I'm pretty sure the official soundtrack has flac, and that has most of the songs.

like how do you extract the game sound files

Why are there so many discs?

because a gamerip includes every piece of audio played in the game. for example, (defun botsbuildbots () (botsbuildbots)) (Title Screen B) plays when you exit back to menu during chapter 5. Or, Rattman Den plays every time you enter a rattman den and look at the art on the walls. hope this answers ur question!

Yes, It's one step above WAV files, which are higher quality than MP3. (to my understanding at least)
