I don't know where you got your Take Back The Tower music, but it's not from the original game, search up Boomer Kuwanger Theme on Youtube, has a slow start then gets a lot better. Most of these just sound like the same song but a little remixed, terrible...

The theme of this album is definitely slow jazz-fusion. So those who may be expecting a guitar heavy over clock arrangement will be sorely disappointed. I give it an 8 based off the simple factor of

1) Were there any tracks i skipped out of displeasure?

Since I was willing to listen to all 10 tracks and found them enjoyable, 8 is a reasonable score. What prevented it from being a 10, was that i wish they added the regular boss theme. Though considering how short it is, (it's like 25 seconds then loop) I realize a slow jazz-fusion of that, that would run roughly 4 minutes long would take a huge amount of improvisation and would probably sound butchered.

My favorite video game remix album. Listened to these songs before I ever played a single Mega Man game. This is what got me into the series. Some great jazz fusion. Standout tracks are Prologue - Awakening Road (1), Night in the White (4), and Get Through the Dark (6).

A lot of people here are claiming this album isn't very good because it's not very faithful to the original. While this argument makes sense, just because something is different doesn't mean it's bad. Yeah, the style of the tracks are very different, but the overall melodies are still pretty catchy and interesting. I'd rather listen to the original obviously but this is still a good soundtrack.
