This album is a great improvement over the previous game in the series. The instrumentation quality was modified to get this sweet, nostalgic Turbografx sound that really makes the album. That said, the arrangements are overall quite short and weak. However, it seems the composer knew this to some extent and mitigates the issue by making a lot of tracks that are short. Hence, it puts the emphasis on the instrument quality rather than the overarching arrangements and progression of songs. That said, it's a fairly easy listen and there's a few good tracks, but the whole album isn't too memorable overall.
