Jewel Bem Hunter Lime Dai-11-wa (X68000) (gamerip) (1994)

The composer of this album, Kenichi Arakawa, also did Rusty for the PC-98, which is widely acclaimed by old Japanese synth enthusiasts. That aside, this is an album I frequently come back to. It's got a lot of solid, stand out, memorable tracks that sound good from start to finish. The style of the album is where nothing really builds up and crescendos but it has these masterful short, memorable punchy beginnings. Originally, I rated this album an 8.5/10, because while I found many tracks good, a lot of other ones seemed more forgettable. I think, however, I was too harsh- even the weaker tracks in this album are still pretty strong for the time period and just have a overall nice sound to them. Hence, I bump it to a 9.7/10. Give it a listen!

In my opinion,
Exceptional: Iconoclast, Give Me A Feeling, Through the Crowd
Also Good: Jewel Bem Hunter Lime, Storm, Waiting Summer, Fell Guilty, You En Chi
